Preserving Fancy Jewelry: A Tutorial

If you are anything like me, I'm sure you own at least one piece of fancy jewelry. Fancy meaning not real, but absolutely cuuuute.

I find that I treat my fancy pieces just like the genuine pieces: shower, swim, sweat and spill things all over them. Not on purpose, of course.

Lucky for you, I have learned to choose great quality materials for the items I sell in my shop, so you actually don't have to worry about 90% of the items from that hypo-allergenic, long-lasting, quality jewelry store.

However, even I get enticed by spark-uh-ly trinkets at stores like Target and Kohls. What to do then?

My best friend in elementary school taught me this cheap trick to preserve your fancies. I still do it today, and it works like a charm.

And it takes about 5 minutes!!

 You'll need:

Your fancy jewelry (mine's from Kohls. $2.00)

Top coat nail polish

Paint two thick coats of top coat polish over all metal areas of your jewelry.

Let stand for 5 minutes.

I suggest you don't blow on it because it can sometimes ruin the coating!

Easy-peasy, right??
